ERICKSONIAN CLINICAL HYPNOSIS
Hypnosis is an empirically-supported therapeutic tool to access inner resources to heal and grow. Milton H. Erickson, M.D. (1901–1980) is largely considered an architect of innovations in clinical hypnosis and in psychotherapy. In this regard, Ericksonian therapy is a perspective of learning, healing, and growth that fosters flexibility in an ongoing adaptive way. Application of this method focuses on communicating with the unconscious mind in order to alter mental or behavioral habits, while evoking natural processes of learning and adaptation.

PSYCHODYNAMIC THERAPY & PSYCHOANALYSIS
Psychodynamic therapy is similar to psychoanalytic therapy in that it is an in-depth form of talk therapy based on the theories and principles of psychoanalysis. It focuses on unconscious processes as they are manifested in a person’s present behavior. The goals are a client’s self-awareness and understanding of the influence of the past on present behavior. A psychodynamic approach enables the client to examine unresolved conflicts and symptoms that arise from past dysfunctional relationships.
